ORCID announce 2.0 API

In the latest newsletter delivered in early February, ORCID announced the upcoming release of version 2.0 of their API.  The 2.0 API is now available on the production registry.  ORCID will be offering webinars to help with the transition between 1.2 and 2.0.  The aim is for all systems to move to using 2.0 by the end of 2017 so that the earlier versions can be deprecated.  We have published a dedicated page of guidance on moving to 2.0 including a link to an ORCID webinar that you can register for, and a recorded webinar to listen to. Please keep your eyes open for further announcements from ORCID and from the UK support project for Jisc consortium members.  We will keep the page updated to track developments and support from ORCID, as well as planning activities and information for the UK consortium, and as always please do email the helpdesk [email protected] with any questions.
