This page describes the support available to you as a member of the Jisc UK ORCID consortium. Find out more about membership of the consortium. Join the consortium.

Help Desk

For help desk enquiries, please email [email protected].

Please note, the UK helpdesk should be the first port of call for all enquiries from current and prospective consortium members for all areas of support including membership and technical requests.

Support by phone is also available when needed and can be arranged through the help desk.

Community Email List

For discussion with other members of the UK HE community implementing ORCID, join the email list.

Event announcements and other news from the consortium are also reported here.

Teams Community

In 2021 we launched a community space on Teams for mutual support and benefit, to enable discussion and sharing of resources across consortium members. To access the Teams community a simple registration is required. Please contact [email protected] with ORCID Teams community in the title and we will send you the registration link. The community is open to all those working at a consortium member organisation involved in supporting ORCID. A .ac.uk email address is needed for registration.

API User Group

The ORCID API users group provides a range of help:

  • discussions about good practice when using the API;
  • notification of any downtime;
  • announcements of new releases of the API and upcoming changes;
  • questions on the API documentation;
  • questions about possible bugs or errors encountered while working with the API.

Developers using the API and technical contacts running systems which depend on API calls are strongly recommended to join this list.
