Privacy notice
An overview of how we process personal data in the running of UK ORCID Support.
The information on this page supplements Jisc’s standard privacy notice.
Example 1:
An individual gives feedback on the Jisc UK ORCID support service using the survey tool and we are processing personal data
By providing information to the Jisc UK ORCID support service feedback survey you agree that you have asked us to process it as described in our standard privacy notice. You may instruct us to stop processing it at any time by e-mailing help@jisc.ac.uk with your email address: this will remove your data from future statistics and reports.
Example 2:
An individual submits guides and documents for Jisc UK ORCID support service Community Resources
The following information is needed for us to process your proposal to include your guides or documents to be shared on the Jisc UK ORCID support service website. We’ll use it, as described in our standard privacy notice, to provide the service you’ve requested, as well as to identify problems or ways to make the service better. If your proposal is accepted we’ll include your name, affiliation and a link to your guides or documents in a public listing that may be read from anywhere on the Internet. Please let us know if that will cause a problem, so we can discuss whether we can reduce what is displayed without devaluing the list of shared community resources.

The following information is needed for us to communicate with you as an ORCID contact for your organisation. We’ll use it, as described in our standard privacy notice, to provide the service you’ve requested, as well as to identify problems or ways to make the service better.
